This would usually bethe beginning of a very busy time in school with a number of exciting events coming up and preparations beginning for examinations.
As you are aware, the government has closed all schools for one month from 15th March in order to limit the potential spread of the Covid 19 virus. Therefore Unity High School is closed for students.
At present, the information that we have from British Council is that the Checkpoint and IGCSE examinations should go ahead as planned. However, it is possible that this may change due to the wider, international, situation.
Students taking exams will be informed as to when they should come to school but they should then go straight home after the end of the examination.
Teachers will prepare work for students to complete at home and this will be posted on the school website and changed weekly.
A suggested timetable will also be published as a guide for parents and students.
Parents are invited to collect their children’s books on Wednesday 18th March between 8.30 am and 1.00 pm to facilitate working from home.
Unfortunately, the school’s Prize Giving, scheduled for 25th March, will now be postponed to a later date.
As and when information changes this will be communicated to parents, so please keep an eye on the website.
