Upper School

The new C Block was opened in January 2002. The classrooms are larger to cope with the increased class size of recent years. There are now 3 classes in each year group in the Upper School. The purpose-built art studio reflects an increasing interest in this subject and the extra staff accommodation provides room for an expanding expatriate staff. See photographs of the School here. The B Block was renovated in the summer of 2003 to improve the facilities for Science and Languages. Further staff accommodation was built on the third floor in the summer of 2004. The old Chemistry laboratory was demolished in the summer of 2005 and has been replaced by the D Block. The D Block provides two classrooms on the Ground Floor, two on the First Floor and a large Multi-Purpose Hall on the Second Floor, with large store room attached. The D Block forms a perfect bridge through from the C Block to the former Primary Block, now, appropriately renamed the E Block, making a very attractive North and North-East wing to the School.

The School Day
The bell at 7:45 am calls the pupils to registration in form classes. The bulk of the day consists of eight 40-minute periods. After the first four there is a 25-minute break followed by two further lessons, a 15-minute break and then the final lessons of the day. After school there are often activities like football, basketball or rehearsals for the school play.
